So...June Flew By!!

Well, what can I say...we traveled 17 days this month...oh, my!  We, as the BESTEST parents in the world, are showing our kids some lovely parts of God's great world!!  We have been so very blessed with the means and opportunity to travel both by car and plane.  Our most recent trip was to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  It was wonderful, beautiful, and serene!  The food was soooo good...we both gained weight, even with working out.  So now we have to get our butts in gear!  All I can say is...'when do we go back'??

<== I love this pic of us!

Zack and Savvie LOVED Mexico! ==>

There are so many more great pics, which are on our share site, of course.  ;)   http://klozikfamilypics.shutterfly.com/

We also had a totally rockin' road trip to Stowe, Vermont in the beginning of June.  We got to spend some quality time with Vince, Meg, Roman, Charlie, Scotty, Tiffany, Lauren and Parker.  The kids had a total blast together and Vermont was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!  It was so picturesque, and the weather was just perfect!! One of the highlights was rock climbing on their mountain boulders.  SO FUN!   I would totally move to that area of Vermont...it was so peaceful and 'GREEN'!

Lauren and Parker are so cute and sweet....wish we could see them more often!

On the way home, we stopped for a few days in Niagara Falls, Canada.  Still an awesome and powerful site!  We took the kids on a boat ride to the base of the Falls...sooooo cooool!!

Yes...we are so thankful to be able to give our kids the opportunity to travel.   We are so blessed!

Hope that the rest of the summer is as wonderful...oh that's right...there is housework and home projects to do. Hey, it can wait until Sept. right??   ;)

Moving on into June 2010!

We are counting down ...just a few days until summer break! Looking forward to traveling...Vermont, Niagara Falls Canada and Puerto Vallarta Mexico are June highlights for us! Looking forward to spending time with family and friends, boating, rejuvenating.

We spent the Memorial Day Weekend camping with the kids and cousins...problems with the camper's air conditioner left us sweating, but we made the best out of it!

We hope that the kids had a good time...swimming, miniature golf, fishing, camping, bonfires, and some independence. The bugs weren't so bad this year and it was a little quieter at the resort. Lou and I got some time in for walks, hand holding and bonding (while listening to the Blackhawks game...lol).

So nice to kick off the summer with my babe!

We recently celebrated Granny & Grandpa's 70th anniversary...that's right...I said 70 YEARS together as a married couple! What a blessing! Not many couples can claim that honor! I pray that Lou and I can brag about our own '70th'!!

I am at that point in my life where I can say...I am at peace...at a state of bliss...with my kids....my wonderful husband...I feel like I don't deserve such happiness, but am so thankful that God has sent it my way! The kids are getting so big...where do the years go??? Zack is almost as tall as me! How is that possible??? :)

It is May Already!?!

I am sorry that I have been so quiet. I have been in an introverted mood this year. Sooooo...I am going to just highlight what has happened so far in 2010.
Zack and Savvie...the most precious things in our lives and our Easter blessings.

Oh, how I love my kids!

My sweet thing and me...so many years together... and I hope that we have so many more!

Cousins...they need to spend more time together!

So many cousins, so little time!!

Finishing Up 2009! by Lori

Well, time for some last thoughts regarding 2009. It was a turning point in my life, marked with sadness, deep sorrow and some regrets. But the year was also balanced out with a great overflow of love and support from friends and family. I always thought that I appreciated how short life is, but realized how truly fragile it really is. I wake up every morning, thanking God for all the special people in my life, and feeling how lucky that I have so many loved ones surrounding me. Scared too, fearing that I will lose someone else I love. But I know, that you can't live life with that fear. I also thank God for sending us two new angels this year, Alex and Dylan. I started writing a list of new year's resolutions. Why are they always so daunting! I have decided to pick one thing to work on...loving people more. Giving the most I can, the best of myself, to the people in my life. As for the rest, I am going to 'wing it' this year. I hope and pray that 2010 shows us all happiness, and no sorrow.

Christmas was an emotional roller coaster, but we got through it keeping busy and enjoying the company of as many family and friends that we could visit! That is really what this time of year is about. We wish we could have seen all of our family, we missed you very much and hope to see you in the new year. The kids had so much fun playing with all of their cousins. Santa was very generous, but family is the most important part for them too. It looks like they have got some good values, and we are pretty proud of that!

We also had the opportunity to spend a few days away, sledding, swimming and relaxing. There is nothing like a little sledding to make you feel like a kid again. It was pretty exhilarating! Makes me want to take the kids skiing...now that's been a long time! I used to be speedy quick on those slopes!

Another highlight, of December, was a wonderful visit with our friends from Florida, Shawn, Robyn and their daughter, Breanna. It had been about 2 years since we had seen them last, Breanna being just a newborn baby at the time. I keep trying to get them to move back here, but they really seem to enjoy that sweltering heat! Well, I will continue to try...we miss them so much!

I love this picture!

Speaking of pictures, I took LOTS, yeah, I know, I am a photo junkie. There are so many good ones, but there just isn't room to include them all here. Take a look at our Shutterfly site, they are posted on it. ==> http://klozikfamilypics.shutterfly.com/

So, Happy 2010!!

Luv,
The Klozik Family :)

Mama, you were missed dearly during these first holidays without you. We miss you everyday, but knowing that this time of year was your favorite, made it extra hard. I know you were there in spirit...I heard your laugh, as the kids expressed their joy, in my heart. I (we) will always love you.

November 2009 Recap! by Lori

Wow...what a month November was! The biggest new is, of course, the birth of Dylan William. A big congrats to Sharon and Ed! He is a cutie pie and we have gotten a couple visits with him already! Sharon and baby Dylan are finally home from the hospital and settling in. He is such an angel and a blessing!

Some proud cousins!

And a proud Uncle and Auntie!!

I thought is was so neat that Dylan was born on Louie's bday. Happy Birthday Hunny!

The kids had tons of fun celebrating Tyler's 11th birthday. I just can't get over how much they have all grown! Grandpa Ken is in this picture somewhere amongst his grandkids...lol!

Lou and I got to go to a Bears game. It was the first time for us at the new Soldiers Field. It was an absolutely beautiful day...such warm weather for Nov. We felt like kids again! The bears lost, but we had a great time anyways!

And Zack got to go to his first Notre Dame game with Lou, courtesy of Meg's Dad. It was a neat experience for him and an exciting game. And a big thanks also to Meg and Vince for putting them up for the night at the farm. Savannah and I were sad to miss the opportunity to go. :)
